This isn’t your standard hocus-pocus stuff that a lot of online marketers are churning out these days. These are real, actionable techniques that we use for our corporate clients.

By reading this article, you’ll know everything you need to know on how to automate your business online and drive targeted traffic to your blog, without feeling left out of the social media frenzy that has been so prolific these days AND WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER.

First and Foremost,

You MUST Have a Wordpress Blog.

Not just any blog or website will do.

I’ll explain more on this towards the bottom of this article.

For now, here’s the Top 10 things you must be doing…

1. BRANDING Be sure to include your website link in your profile description in all your social networking sites. And the 3 Top Social Networking sites you MUST join, no matter what business niche you are in are: Facebook, Twitter & Linkedin.

2. VIRAL MARKETING Sign up for a DandyID account so that you can sync up all your social profiles together in one place. This will allow you to display your universal profile so that social networkers can connect with you on all the sites you are active on. 3. SEMI-AUTOMATED POSTING Sign up for an account with http://www.posterous.com You can then auto-post to all of the following blogs & social media sites at once just by sending a single email from your gmail account, to sites like:

Blogger, Wordpress.org, LiveJournal, Typepad, Facebook, Twitter, Friendfeed Youtube, Vimeo, Tumblr, Flikr, Picasa and Delicious

4. BASIC BLOG AUTOMATION You will want to automate your blog so that every time you add new content, your blog will auto-post to twitter, facebook, Linkedin and friendfeed.

5. TWITTER AUTOMATION

You need to to reach a larger audience!

The simplest way to do this is by getting A LOT of Twitter followers. The Twitter follower software I recommend is Twitter Powerline.

I read a terrific email the other day that I really wanted to get back to and work with, from Marlon Sanders. It took me 3 days to go back and find it because I was so busy with other stuff.

The article really impressed me because at the time it was the one thing that I really needed. You will see why as you read on.

“So you got all these possibilites rolling around in your head and its really exciting. Even with the Swine freaking flu going around and the doom and gloom, there are really so many ways to still make it good at the bank, in SPITE of it all.”

Don’t ya love the way Marlon writes? lol

Feeling overwhelmed? I certainly was. 
“The cause, then, is simple: Not having a system or a method, to know what to FOCUS on - so putting the same priority on everything, THEN you feel overwhelmed.”

So how to sort thru things and set your priorities?

Step #1.
Write out all the things you need to do. A To Do List.

Step #2
Make categories on your to do list
 - Traffic methods  - lets get people to your site
-  Product methods - find affiliates products - to sell
-  Create your own products - key word research etc
-  Operations - outsourcing - accounting etc

Step #3
Pick just ONE catergory to work on for the next 2 wks.

Step #4
Within the category - set a list of to dos for only ONE thing.

Step #5
FOCUS on doing the to dos in the next week or so to the EXCLUSION  of everything else.  BLock off segments on your calendar for other issues that must be done.

Then take the outcome and FOCUS on it to make it CRYSTAL
CLEAR in your thinking.”

Ok, so I am going to focus on only one project for the next week or so, try it, you can do the same, let me know how you did with Marlon’s advice.
